Campion School, Arera Colony Bhopal celebrated India 69th Republic Day with a great deal of patriotic zeal and fervour. The event took place on Tuesday, January 26, 2018, in school premises. The students from primary to secondary took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. To mark the importance of this day, a grand celebration was held in the school, and many activities were planned in the school premises. The school echoed with patriotic fervour as the children drew scenes of Republic Day celebrations, sang patriotic songs, and even wore tri-coloured clothes to mark the occasion.
The day began with the hoisting & honour of unfurling the Indian tricolour flag by Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., followed by the National Anthem by School Band. Salute by commanding officer Mr. Johnsy Koshy sir. Pledge by School Captain Master Amatya Vashishtha. The entire school courtyard reverberated with the rhythmic Patriotic Song played by School Band beats of different patriotic songs like “Mera Rang de basanti Chola”, “Ae Watan Ae Watan humko teri kasam, “Sare jaha se accha”, “kadam kadam milaye ja”, Aye mere pyare watan” and the Middle school students dancing to it with the tricolour flags fluttering in the air. A broad smile could be seen on everyone’s face when the excited primary students got to release the tri-coloured helium balloons into the air. The events that followed, included a beautiful piece of patriotic Hindi song and a blindfold dance, performed by the students of the Secondary and an excellent speech by Assistant School Captain Master “Justin Jojy Thomas”.
Also A special tribute was paid to soldiers through “Mera Mulk mera Desh mera yeh watan”, “Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo , , Sarfaroshi ki tammana, Desh mere Desh mere meri AAN hai tu,”, by the patriotic songs sung by Primary Students. Active participation was seen from the students, which gave a glimpse of their patriotic fervour towards the country.
The school premises reverberated with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The students brought the stage alive with their passion and love for the motherland.
The programme concluded with very inspiring speech given by the Teacher from Primary Section Mrs. Sarita Chako Madam she said: “It’s not only a Festival nor a chance to celebrate, but it’s a day to remember the entire Indian Martyr’s and giving our tribute or homage to all of them who give his or her entire life to our Motherland India”. A Big Salute to our Indian ARMY.” The students of today hold the future of their country in their hands. It is important for the welfare of the country that its present generation should realize that the future is in its hands". On this special day, (26 January) lets promise our motherland that we will do everything to enrich and preserve our heritage our ethos and our treasure. He said “Freedom in mind, Faith in our heart, Memories in our souls. Let’s salute the Nation on Republic Day”.
Master of ceremony done by Miss Archana Choubey madam. Vote of Thanks given by Hindi Senior Teacher Mrs. Sushma Saxena madam. To mark the importance of the day, Vice Principal Fr. Ajay Kumar Kerketta S.J., School Bursar Fr. Ashok S.J., Headmistress Sister Pramila A.C. along with other sisters and senior teachers were also present on this occasion.
