CBSE ORGANISED TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR TEACHERS & EDUCATORS ON ‘FINANCIAL LITERACY AND USE OF DIGITAL TOOLS’ IN CAMPION SCHOOL

In order to evolve the teachers and educators, CBSE has paved the way to upgrade them through Capacity Building Programs. The Board has been providing various training programmes for educators to enhance their understanding of curriculum and delivery mechanisms and other professional qualities. CBSE has taken the initiative to sensitize teachers on the basics of Financial Literacy and the use of Digital Tools that are relevant in the current scenario, organized a Training cum workshop on ‘Financial Literacy and the use of Digital Tools’. The session was conducted on 13 Sep  in Campion School, Bhopal under the guidance of Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J. The session began by welcoming the guest speaker or resource person Miss Tanushree Batham. Teachers from different CBSE member schools of Bhopal such as Campion, St. Joseph Co-ed, St. Mary’s, Bal Bhawan, Kamla Nehru and KendriyaVidhyalaya 2 participated. A total of 120 teachers had participated. The session was headed by the highly experienced Resource Person Miss Tanushree Batham. The session focused on creating awareness about basic financial planning, how to avoid falling prey to phishing and cyber frauds, etc. This helped educators stay updated to plan their future in a better way and also disseminate their learning and extracted experience with the students so that they deal with the finances vigilantly. This initiative is part of Activities related to Investor Education and Awareness Initiative in terms of SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1996. The key takeaways for the teachers were the importance of SIPs/ shares/ mutual funds, Investment, and the importance of life insurance and term plans. The Resource person also highlighted How to deal with funds and finances, Where and where not to invest, Cyber Fraud phishing, etc. The real-life experiences and anecdotes made the session interesting. The session was well organised as well as quite interactive.  The teachers actively clarified their doubts and got satisfactory answers. In this workshop, senior teachers and all the teachers from the secondary sections of Campion School were present. Mrs. Renu Bose was the Master of the ceremony. A vote of Thanks was given by teacher Mrs. Mona Lal.
