Campion School’s 53rdAnnual Sports Day 2022 was held today in the school playground of school premises. Almost 1000 students from IIIrd to Std. Vth were participated in this event. Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., formally commenced the programme with Lighting of the lamp along with Chief Guest Mr. Dr. Shailendra Shrivastava IPS(Retd.) and Guest of Honour Syed Jalaludding Rizvi (Olympian & Arjun Awardee) and Headmistress Sister Maria Lavita AC & other dignitaries. Chief Guest along with the other dignitaries received the salute during the parade and impressive March Past presented by the four houses students i.e., Nehru House, Ashoka House, Tagore House and Gandhi House of the School followed by the oath ceremony. The sports torch-symbol of harmony and goodwill was carried by worthy sports persons. The inaugural programme commenced with the Prayer song and welcome Theme dance by the students. The students of Class IIIrd to Vth display a wide array of colourful and reverberant events such as P.T. Displayed, Lemon & Spoon race, Shuttle Relay, Sack Race, Flat Race, Relay Race 4X100 mtrs., Hurdle Race, Frog Race, Shoe Race, Balancing the Balloon, Skipping race, Yoga, March Past, Races, and Drills formation of pyramids etc. The students spread the message of “Save Today to Shape Tomorrow” through their PT and Display performances. Winners were awarded with certificates and medals on the day of Annual Sports Meet. Referee of the meet was Mrs. Sonia Yadav, Asst. Referee of the meet was Mr. Khan and Mr. Imraan and Chief Judge was Mrs. Prabha Mathew of Campion school. Chief Guest & Fr. Principal in his speech said “Sports develops all round development of the body, mind and soul. As a token of love from school; Mementos were given to the Chief Guest and Guest of honour. On this occasion Award and Prize Distribution ceremony for different categories; best excellence student in academic etc. was taken place. Principal Fr., Vice-Principal Fr. gave their best wishes and congratulated to all the sports teachers, teachers and all the Medallists students for their Best, excellent and extraordinary performance in this Mega event. Vote of thanks was given by Fr. Vice Principal; Lastly Guest of Honour declared the sports meet closed. Students cheered for themselves and signed out for the day.
