Campion School’s 53rd Annual Sports Day 2022 was held today in the school playground. Almost 1000 students from KG1 to Std. IInd were participated in this event. The Band Group of the School escorted Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., along with Chief Guest Col. Virendra Prataap Singh (Retd.) and Guest of Honour Major Prabhakar(Retd.). Headmistress Sr. Maria Lavita AC and other dignitaries. Annual Sports day formally commenced with Lighting of the lamp Chief Guest along with the other dignitaries received the salute during the parade and impressive March Past presented by the four houses students i.e., Nehru House, Ashoka House, Tagore House and Gandhi House of the School followed by the oath ceremony. The sports torch-symbol of harmony and goodwill was carried by worthy sports persons. The chief guest received the torch and declared the sports meet open. The inaugural programme commenced with the Prayer song and welcome Theme dance by the students. The students of Class KG 1 to IInd display a wide array of colourful and reverberant events such as P.T. Displayed, Flat Race, Off to School, Potato Race, Shuttle Relay, Balancing, Going to School Race, One Legged, Hopping Yoga, March Past, Races, and Drills formation of pyramids etc. They spread the message of Save Today to Shape Tomorrow through their PT and Display performances. First day Winners were awarded with certificates and medals. Referee of the meet was Mrs. Sonia Yadav, Asst. Referee of the meet Mr. Khan and Mr. Imran and Chief Judge Mrs. Prabha Mathew School. Chief Guest & Fr. Principal in his speech said “Sports develops all round development of the body, mind and soul”. Whole programme was organised under the guidance of Headmistress Sr. Maira Lavita AC. As a token of love from school; Mementos were given to the Chief Guest and Guest of honour. On this occasion Award and Prize Distribution ceremony for different categories; best excellence student in academic. Principal Fr., Vice-Principal Fr. gave their best wishes and congratulated to all the sports teachers, teachers and all the Medallists students for their Best, excellent and extraordinary performance in this Mega event. Vote of thanks was given by Fr. Vice Principal.
