An interactive two day Orientation programme & Seminar on the Topic "Effective Teacher" was organised recently at Campion School Arera Colony under the guidance of Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., Father Principal was the Resource person of this programme. The seminar began with an introductory session of this orientation programme by a resource person. The main objective of conducting this orientation program for all the teachers of the Primary and Secondary Sections of the school is to guide the teachers on how to transform a teacher into learning, experimental and creative teachers for students, what is the profile of an Effective teacher, how to manage discipline in the classroom, How to Be an Assertive teacher followed by Experiential learning, practical knowledge and discussion, changing face of Teaching, Role of Effective Communication (Verbal/Non-Verbal), Personality Development and Management. The major components of Orientation Programmes are based on various thoughts & ideas. The Resource person also highlighted Information Technology, Computer Awareness, Communication skills, Creativity, Leadership, team building and work culture Qualities of an effective teacher, code of conduct, accountability and empowerment, Student guidance and counselling which are essential for the expected result. At the end of the seminar, each participant explored and understood the fundamental elements of being an effective educator or teacher of every subject. Sr. Crescentia A.C., management member Miss Veena Bhambhal along with other senior teachers and all the teachers from the primary & secondary sections were also present on this occasion.
